Have Your Questions Ready!
Stan will have a limited amount of time in each class to answer questions and interact with the students. Being prepared with questions are the best way to make sure the time for Q&A is efficient. This helps with kids asking the same questions. Come up with your top 5 -10 questions and display them on the board for Stan to answer when he arrives. If there is time left after Stan answers those he will ask the students to raise their hand if they have more questions.
What if your students have more questions for Stan after he leaves?
Usually there isn't enough time for Stan to answer all of the student's questions during his visit or questions may come up after he leaves. Stan wants to answer all the students questions. You can email your question to QuestionsForStan@StanleyTucker.com Please include in the email your school's name and the student's name who asked the question.
Stan wrapping up one of his classroom visits!
*Stan's classroom visits looks different in each grade/class. For younger students, Stan brings a book to do a quick engaging read aloud to fill the time if there aren't any questions.
How much time will we have with Stan?
The amount of time that you will have with Stan is based on if your school booked him for a half or full day. If Stan is there for a full day you can expect about 10 minutes with him depending on the size of the school. If two classes join together this will give Stan more time. This schedule is what a full day with Stan looked like at a school with 800 students.
Can we take pictures and post them?
Yes, you can! Stan loves to take classroom group photos. If you do, tag Stan's on instagram @StanAndTheMan
If you decide to take a class picture, please have your students prepped so it won't take too much of your time with Stan.
When can we start Stan's kindness challenge?
-Stan suggest to start his Be Kind 39 challenge at least a month in advance. This will give the students enough time to complete the 39 acts of kindness before he arrives to earn their "It's cool to be kind" wristband. You can also start the kindness challenge after Stan leaves. Click HERE to download the checklist!
